We are responsible for fire and building safety, emergency response, determining cause and origin of fires, and various types of technical equipment safety such as elevators, boilers and pressure vessels, and gas burning devices throughout the Province of Manitoba. The Suppression Division of Markham Fire and Emergency Services is what people envision when they hear the words Fire Department or firefighter.

The seven stations are staffed by 109 firefighters and has a Class 2 ISO Rating. The reserve fleet consists of two engines, and a ladder truck. There are six engine companies, two truck companies, a command vehicle, two hazmat response vehicles and two boats.

The Decatur Fire Department has a total of seven fire stations located throughout the city. The Oxnard Fire Departments Strategic Plan 2021-2025 focuses on five goals to guide the OFD in the next five years: 1) People 2) Service Delivery 3).
